Feb 11, 2012 6:28 PMFeb 11, 2012 6:23 PM] Dakota Lodge is proud to announce the raising of two Brothers to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. Steve Schneider and Chris Gibson were both raised at two seperate events within one month of each other. Steve was raised courtesy of Oriental Lodge #34 in Cannon Falls and Chris was raised February 11th at Dakota Lodge with the help of Brothers from Ancient Landmark #5, Montgomery Lodge #258, Red Wing Lodge #8, Carnelian Lodge #40, Mizpah #191 and Dakota Lodge #7 for a 6 Lodge and two Area ritual team. The degree went very well and the ritual was outstanding. Dakota Lodge sincerely appreciates all the help we received in raising Chris and our heartfelt thanks to Oriental Lodge #34 for raising Steve. (photos of Steve forthcoming) |

STATED MEETING FEBRUARY 23RD, 2012 Brothers, please join us for our next stated meeting on February 23rd. Dinner starts at 6:30pm and the meeting at 7:30pm. We have a very nice Lodge Education program on WB George Washington and the Legend of Hiram Abiff. Our Lodge participation is growing and so is the fellowship. Come and be part of it! |

Dakota Lodge will be conferring the 3rd Degree or Master Mason on February 11th, 2012 at 8AM. The degree will take place at Dakota Lodge at 2103 Vermillion Street in Hastings, Minnesota. All 3rd degree Masons are welcome to attend. |

Brothers,
January 26th is our next stated meeting and we have two big events this evening. One, Ancient Landmark #5 will be visiting us in Hastings and we not only welcome them but are much looking forward to their visit. Also WB Todd Jovonovich will be giving us a York Rite presentation. Todd is a Past Scribe of Vermillion #2 and Past High Priest of Minnesota #1 Chapters of the Royal Arch Masons. Todd is very knowledgeable and he is also a very entertaining Mason. This should be a great evening for Dakota Lodge. Dinner is a 6:30pm and will be catered in courtesy of WB Sean Gardiner. The proceeds of the meal will go towards alleviating the medical expenses of a very sick young lady in the community. Please come and show your support of the Lodge and your generosity to a sick child in need.

He will also be asking for your ideas on how to increase membership and keep the interest up for all lodge members. Don't forget our Fellowship at the Bierstube after the meeting! |

Brothers, Sisters of the OES, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dakota Lodge #7 presents the first annual Masters Dinner to take place at the Hastings Green Mill Private Dining Hall on December 17th, 2011. Social hour begins at 5PM and Dinner begins at 6PM This dinner is to honor WB Sean Gardiner our outgoing Master and is also a fund raiser for our Lodge. The cost is $45 per plate with about half going to the Lodge itself. We will have live musical entertainment from Dan Larson and his Sister Susan. There will also be a prize given to some lucky participant of a Blu Ray DVD player which includes Net Flix. We hope to see you there! |

Brothers, We are presenting the 3rd Degree on Thursday December 29th, 2011. This is a special meeting to get our two new Fellow Crafts finished before the end of the year. Please let me know if any of you would like to take an active role in this degree. Wewill begin the meeting at 6:30 PM in order that we do not continue too late into the evening. Leonard |

Dakota Lodge #7 Scottish Rite Brethren, under the direction of Bro. Leonard Smith, brought back the 21st degree to St. Paul Valley Scottish Rite. Bro. Leonard, who is our Senior Warden, is the 2nd Lieutenant of the Council of Kadosh in St. Paul Valley. He not only directed and assembled the cast, but lead them as the Commander in the degree! Congratulations to all involved in exemplifing an excellent degree.
